What is the StarHub Urban Freestyle (SUF)?
StarHub Urban FreeStyle Run is Singapore’s latest sports and lifestyle event. 2010 StarHub Urban FreeStyle Run will feature 9 fun obstacles on a 6.5km route around the city. Visit the RUN page for more information about the route and obstacles.
When is the 2010 StarHub Urban FreeStyle Run?
The 2010 StarHub Urban FreeStyle Run will be held on Saturday 10 April, 2010.
Where will the StarHub Urban Freestyle (SUF) be held?
The 2010 StarHub Urban FreeStyle Run will start and finish at the Padang.
How many StarHub Urban Freestyle (SUF) categories are there?
Unlike other running events, there are no categories for the 2010 StarHub Urban FreeStyle Run.
What time does SUF start?
Participants will be released in waves of 50 (fifty) at 30 second intervals, with the first wave scheduled to be flagged-off at 3.00pm.
Which wave do I belong to?
Participants will not be grouped before the Run, waves will be formed by a queue system.
Can I roller-blade or cycle during the SUF instead?
No, this rule is to ensure the safety of all other participants.
Can I bring along my pets?
No, pets are not allowed in this event.
Will I get a SUF time?
No, the 2010 StarHub Urban FreeStyle Run is non-competitive so there is no timing system.
What is a Run Kit?
The 2010 StarHub Urban FreeStyle Run Kit will include your Runner’s Bib, Runner’s Tee and an Obstacle Handbook.
When and where can I collect my Run Kit?
You can collect your Run Kit on Saturday 3 April or Sunday 4 April at the new *SCAPE (beside Cathay Cineleisure) anytime from 2.00pm to 8.00pm.
Where can I leave my belongings?
Baggage deposit service is available at the Baggage Area free of charge for participants of the 2010 StarHub Urban FreeStyle Run. Baggage deposit service will open at 2.00pm and close at 11.00pm. You may check in multiple times.

What if I am injured during the run or otherwise unable to finish the run?
Runners who are injured or unable to finish the run need not worry, as manned first aid points will be located at the F1 Pit Stop and Clifford Pier . You can also alert marshals along the run route for assistance. Paramedics on bicycles will also be roaming the run route.

How can I register and what am I entitles to as a participant?

What do I have to do when I register?
1. Have your necessary documents with you as you register.
2. Have a soft copy of a doctor’s letter if needed.
3. Key in the required information prompted by the website.
4. Check that you have entered everything correctly before making payment.
How will I know if my entry has been accepted?
You will receive an immediate confirmation email once your application online is successful. More details will also be provided once payment is made.
Why didn’t I receive my Run confirmation slip/number/email?
1. You do not fulfil the minimum age requirement (14 years old as of 2010)
2. Payment was not made, not accepted or rejected.
3. You have entered an invalid email address or it could reside in your Junk/Spam folder.

Can I make changes to my personal particulars after submitting my registration?
Yes, you can make changes to your personal particulars by visiting the user panel http://www.urbanfreestyle.sg/userpanel or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
Please note that the cut off date for any changes is on 26/03/2010. Do check through your confirmation slip again to ensure all your particulars are correct. All request must reach us by 26/03/2010, 1300hrs. After which, no changes will be entertained.
Do I get a refund if I choose not to participant after registration?
No. Unfortunately, there will not be any refunds.
What is a promotional code?
A promotional code is a unique code that is given specifically to runners in our database or from our sponsors’ database.
How much of a discount am I entitled to?
Runners will be entitled to a discount using the promotion code off the prevailing registration fee, subjected to the period of the promotion.
Is there a group/bulk discount?
We are offering two group offers:
Offer A - 6 runners can sign up for the price of 5 (save $55)
Offer B - 10 runners can sign up for the price of 7 (save $165)

We are also offering a bulk discount:
Offer C - 50 to 99 Runners $32.50 per person (40% discount off U.P. $55)
Offer D - More than 100 Runners $27.50 per person (50% discount off U.P. $55)

In the event due to inclement weather, should the event be canceled, will there be a refund?
No. We seek your understanding that all the props and set ups for the event has already been made and there are already costs incurred.

Where are the drink stations?
The drink stations are located approximately every 2km mark from the start point (at the end of the F1Track and Raffles Avenue).
The end point will have both water and isotonic drinks.
Will there be transportation/parking at the event?
No. Participants who drive can park at nearby Marina Square, Raffles City Shopping Centre, Esplanade or Suntec City. Connaught Drive will be closed from 12.00pm to 8.00pm.

The nearest MRT Station is City Hall.

Participants who travel by taxi can drop off at the following locations, which are all about 5 minutes walk away from the start point.

What are the prizes available?
Although this is a non-competitive run, participants are entitled to a lucky draw at the end of the Run on the Padang with attractive prizes from our sponsors to be won.

Do I have to pay for the Fest?
No, the StarHub Urban FreeStyle Fest is free admission to runners and the public.
What time does the Fest start/end?
The StarHub Urban FreeStyle Fest will start at 2.00pm and end at 12.00 midnight.
What is there to see/do at the Fest?
StarHub Urban FreeStyle Fest will feature live performances by local bands and dancers, food and beverage village, flea market, children’s art competitions, movie screening and other fun activities. Visit the FEST page for more information about the festival programme.
