The Obstacles:
1. Man vs. Wild by Discovery Channel

Obstacle Inspiration

This obstacle is inspired by the popular survival television series hosted by Bear Grylls on the Discovery Channel (Ch 12), where each episode documents his efforts to survive and find a way back to civilization.

Obstacle 101

Live and survive like Bear Grylls as you:

i) jump over a series of “rock wall” barricades,

ii) crawling through a 3m long “jungle shelter” tunnel measuring around 1m wide,

iii) and emerge to balance on a “dead log” to avoid falling into the swamp!
 
2. Hubbing Station by StarHub

Obstacle Inspiration

This obstacle is inspired by StarHub’s Hubbing Packs, where customers can enjoy a combination of StarHub services like TV, MaxOnline, Digital Voice and Mobile at special package price.

Obstacle 101

Hub together as you:

i) collect your jigsaw puzzle piece defined by the Hubbing logo printed on the back of your shirt* (TV, MaxOnline, Digital Voice, Mobile, StarHub or StarHub Urban FreeStyle) from your respective Hubbing box.

ii) After collecting your puzzle piece, line up beside your box and wait for the green signal ,

iii) before running to the HubStation with five other FreeStylers to complete the Hubbing puzzle cube!

*Check the top right corner on the back of your shirt for the logo to ensure you collect the correct jigsaw puzzle piece!
 
3. Sony Ericsson VivazTM Parkour by Sony Ericsson

Obstacle Inspiration

This obstacle is inspired by the features of Sony Ericsson’s latest mobile phone the VivazTM, the first Sony Ericsson phone that's capable of recording high-definition (HD) 720p videos and instantly share them with your friends via WiFi onto YouTube.

Obstacle 101

Interact with the stylish Cosmic Black or alluring Ruby Red colours of the Sony Ericsson VivazTM as you:

i) climb over a 1.5m high “Human Curvature Design” wall,

ii) before stepping off quickly on the “Quick App Switch” platforms,

iii) jump over the “Dedicated Video Key” barricades,

iv) and finally scale up and across the “HD Video” structure!
 
4. 7UP Revive Drink Can by 7UP Revive

Obstacle Inspiration

This obstacle is inspired by that refreshing feeling Singapore gets when "revived" by 7UP Revive. 7UP Revive is an isotonic drink that contains Vitamins B3, B6 and B12, and is the healthier choice when you need to rehydrate!

Obstacle 101

Revive yourself as you:

i) run into the opening of a 8m wide giant 7UP Revive drink can,

ii) while inside you’ll be enveloped by a 15m long wave of refreshing vapour,

iii)and as you exit the can grab another refreshing moment with a 7UP Revive from our FreeStyle volunteers!
 
5. HBO Tunnel
    The Pacific

Obstacle Inspiration

This obstacle is inspired by HBO’s latest blockbuster ten-part television World War II miniseries - The Pacific, which premieres Saturday 3 April, 9pm on HBO (Ch 60). The series will tell the stories of three U.S. Marines, as the war against the Empire of Japan rages.

Obstacle 101

You’re in the “warzone” as you enter past the camouflage net, and you will have to:

i) jump over a stack of army sandbags,

ii) adjust your body to the shape of soldier cutouts on a “war damaged wall”,

iii) crawl under a army cargo net,

iv) and escape the “firefight” by forcing your way through giant “army dog tags” to safety!
 
6. adidas Originals Superstar by adidas

Obstacle Inspiration

This obstacle is inspired by adidas Originals - collections of vintage clothing, retro shoes and urban wear that blend timeless 70s and 80s designs with sports styles.

Obstacle 101

Be an Original Superstar as you:

i) pull yourself up the laces of the 2m high adidas Originals Superstar,

ii) make your way into the “insole”,

iii) and climb your way out of the coolest shoe!
 
7. Strike a Pose by Fox International Channels

Obstacle Inspiration

This obstacle is inspired by moments from some of the most entertaining programmes from Fox International Channels with Star World (Ch 18), FOX (Ch 132), Star Movies (Ch 58), and more!

Obstacle 101

You will have to:

i) choose from 3 massively entertaining programmes - Glee on Star Worl, The Simpsons on FOX or Wolverine on Star Movies,

ii) get ushered up the "stage" solo or with your friends, and as you get ready to have your "moment" captured at the end of the stage,

iii) strike a pose* to a throng of “paparazzi” and leap off!

*Give your best pose as a personalized photo will be in your StarHub Urban FreeStyle Finisher DVD sent to you after the event!
 
8. Fast & FreeStyle by StarHub Urban FreeStyle

Obstacle Inspiration

This obstacle is inspired by the blockbuster movie series Fast and the Furious, and the hit video game Need for Speed.

Obstacle 101

FreeStyle your way past two colliding cars by either:

i) climbing or sliding across over the bonnets,

ii) or simply going through the doors if you want to take it easy on the way to the final obstacle!
 
9. Ocean Slide by National Geographic

Obstacle Inspiration

This obstacle is inspired by National Geographic's (Ch 11) efforts to highlight marine conservation with the 40th anniversary of Earth Day on 22 April 2010. Marine conservation is the protection and preservation of ecosystems in oceans and seas, with the focus on limiting human-caused damage.

Obstacle 101

As you enter the "Ocean":

i) pick up the pace as you zoom across a 10m long waterslide for a wet ‘n (Nat Geo) wild* photo finish to complete the first-ever StarHub Urban FreeStyle Run!

*Our FreeStyle volunteers will be on hand to pass you a limited StarHub Urban FreeStyle towel so you can dry off and enjoy the StarHub Urban FreeStyle Fest!
